The settings are made from a registered handset. Switching the base station ringer off and setting the ringer volume It is possible to define whether the ringers should be signalled on the base station or only on the handset. You can set the ringer volume for the ringer on the base station. There are seven volume levels available: Level 0 = Switch off base station ringer. Calls will only be signalled on the handset. Level 6 = The factory default is level 6 (loud). It is also possible to set the ringer volume on the handset ( page 34). You can choose from a range of six tones. To set the ringer tone, the base station ringer must be switched on. It is easier to distinguish between calls signalled at the base station and the handset if different ringer tones are set for each. The ringer tone can also be set for the handset ( page 34). The set tone level is indicated on the display: : n 61 P fN oB b (Example: tone level 1 is set) Enter the applicable digit for the required ringer tone (1 to 6) and save. Switching music-on-hold on/off If you are connected to an external user and are holding an internal consultation or have activated the muting function, the external party will hear music during this time. The music is switched ON in the factory setting. B# 1 o Start the setting procedure. Enter the four-digit system code (factory default "0000") ( page 19).
