File Manager C KExtrasKFile Manager Use the phone's file manager like a PC file manager to organise your internal (phone memory) and external (MultiMediaCard, optional) storage. On the MultiMediaCard you can store files such as images, messages, sounds and any type of applications. M Enter one character (invisible) and the selection will be positioned at the first matching entry. File and folder handling You can Move, Copy, Delete a single or several marked files. The following functions are available when no file or folder is marked: Open a file with the corresponding application to see its Properties, or to Rename, Move or Copy it. File and folder options Open, Move, Copy, Delete, Properties, Rename, Exit. OptionsKSearchKGoto Enter a search string and the matching list will be shown. OptionsKSearchKFilter Enter a search string and a list of all matching entries will be shown. Sort modes Set sort criteria: Ascending, Descending, Sort by name, Sort by date, Sort by type, Sort by size. Send The phone offers several methods of sending files via different transmission routes. For further information see the respective application: via MMS, p. 87 Folder navigation To navigate between the folder levels, move the joystick left/right. Extras MultiMediaCard Memory functions Manage your memory card and view relevant details. Updates your phone memory on the MultiMediaCard. You can restore safed data from a backup you have made before by using the Restore from card option. Memory card name Define a name for the multimedia card. Format memory card It is necessary to format your multimedia card before first use. Set password Use a password to protect access to a special multimedia card. After the password is set, the multimedia card is locked. Remove password Remove password protection from multimedia card. Unlock memory card You must enter the correct password to unlock the MultiMediaCard. 65 Memory details Display details for the multimedia card and internal phone memory, e. g. the name, the total capacity, free and used memory and whether it is password protected. General File manager options New folder, File, Search, Mark/Unmark, Send, Sort by/order, Memory functions, Exit.
