[. . . ] Use the appliance only if the local mains voltage complies with the rated voltage of the appliance (230 V for 50 Hz). Always heat the water with a closed lid, otherwise the automatic cut out may not work. Boiling water can then spray out over the edge. Hot vapours may leak out and the electric water kettle may be very hot while in operation. [. . . ] No liabilities shall be accepted for damages caused by improper or wrong use. Clean the kettle , by pouring water into it and bringing it to a boil (See "Operation"). Pour out the water and repeat the process. - at least up to the MIN mark, so as not to overheat the electric water kettle. The appliance can only be switched on if it is fixed to the base station. If you want to stop or interrupt the boiling process, keep the On/Off switch on the "O" position. However, you can continue the boiling process by waiting for 20 seconds until the heating element has cooled off. You can then switch on the appliance once again. During the cooling phase, do not press the on/off switch , as this can damage the appliance. While the appliance is not in use, unplug the power cord from the socket, so as to prevent the appliance from an inadvertent start. note: The appliance has a safety device. This switches off the heating element, if the appliance is switched on when empty or is cooking dry. In such a condition, allow the appliance to cool off completely, before pouring in water again. For safety reasons and to avoid injuries do not open the lid when the water is boiling or very hot. Pull the power cord out only as much as is necessary. Pull it out by opening the base station and connect the plugs with an appropriate power socket. Open the lid and fill in with the desired quantity of water. there are no user-servicable elements inside. An open housing can create the risk of a lethal electrical shock. Before cleaning the appliance, first, remove the plug from the power socket and allow the appliance to cool down completely.
