[. . . ] To install batteries: - Press down and slide down the battery compartment door. - Install the batteries taking care to observe the correct polarities as shown. AC Operation: Using the AC to DC adapter supplied with the unit will disconnect the batteries automatically. Plug in the wall adapter into a 120V AC outlet and plug into jack (6 Volt DC). Only use the adapter supplied with the unit. Antenna: Extend the antenna and rotate the radio for best reception. Weather Band Selector Switch: Allows you to select one of the seven NOAA channels (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) 3. Earphone Jack: Allows use of earphones for privacy.

4. DC Jack: Allows use of 120V AC to DC wall adapter (included) to save battery power. Speaker: Large speaker for great sound in a small radio. Telescopic Antenna: Fully extend the antenna and position for best reception of FM and WX signals. The AM radio antenna is an internal ferrite antenna-rotate radio for best reception. Tuning Knob: Rotate knob to tune for best AM and FM reception. Weather Channel Legend: Shows channel and frequency information. Band Switch: Allows you to select AM, FM, Weather, or Alert modes. Battery Low LED Indicator: Lights to show that batteries need replacing. Battery Door: Slide down to replace batteries.
Operation
TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO The Band switch selects AM, FM, Weather or Alert: AM: In this position, an AM radio station can be selected with the Tuning knob FM: In this position, an FM radio station can be selected with the Tuning knob WB: In this position, the local NOAA weather station can be selected with the Weather Band selector switch. ALERT: In this position, the Weather Emergency warnings and watches can be received. Turn the Volume knob to the desired volume. Turn the Tuning knob to the desired station.
CAUTION!
You must select ALERT to receive the Weather Alert signals.
