Note: If you are having Windows XP earlier than Service Pack1, you will not see the above icon images. Instead, you will only see four removable drive letters representing the sockets in the USB Reader. If you want the above icon images to show up, please download and install Service Pack1 from Microsoft web site http://www. microsoft. com and then reinstall the USB driver. Alternately, when you format the cards, you can rename the cards as "CF", SD", "SM" and MS" to help you distinguish the cards on your computer. Insert your storage card in the card reader. Double-click My Computer or Windows File Explorer. Double-click on the respective Removable Disk icons. Access images and files on your storage cards just as the way you open, copy, move, or delete images and files on your hard disk drive. Note1: Please note that it takes about 30-45 seconds for the removable Drive icons to appear after connecting the Reader. Note2: If you are having Windows XP earlier than Service Pack1, you will not see the above icon images. Instead, you will only see four removable drive letters representing the sockets in the USB Reader. If you want the above icon images to show up, pl ase download Service Pack1 from Microsoft web site and e reinstall the USB driver. Alternately, when you format the cards, you can rename the cards as "CF", SD", "SM" and MS" to help you distinguish the cards on your computer. Do not insert or extract storage cards while the red LED is flashing which indicates that the device is being accessed by the computer. Uninstall Software If you wish to remove the installed software and driver files of your USB Card Reader, please refer to following instructions. Click Start , Settings , Control Panel and then click on Add/Remove Programs. In the pop-up menu, select the USB Reader and click on Add/Remove button. A dialog box appears asking for your confirmation. Software and driver files of your USB Card Reader will be removed automatically. After removing software and driver files, you'll have to perform Software Setup and Hardware Setup, if you wish to use your USB Card Reader again. 4. Software Setup Install device driver according to following instructions: 1. [. . . ] Uninstall Driver If you want to remove the installed driver files, please repeat step 1 to 3 in Software Setup, but in the installer dialog, choose Uninstall in the pop-up menu. Click Uninstall to remove driver files. During the uninstallation, a warning indicating that Some files /folder could not be deleted may appear.
