This can be used for button sewing, darning, and embroidery. drop Feed Lever a is inside the shuttle cover. (fig B) Use zigzag sewing foot or option foot (overcasting foot). Be sure that the declutch knob in the handwheel is into the ( ) direction. Put two pieces of fabric with the right sides together to sew. (fig D) NOTE To prevent edges from fraying, sew so that the right side stitches drop outside the edge of the fabric. Overlocking stitches can be used for overlocking. Use zigzag sewing foot or option foot (overcasting foot). Be sure that the declutch knob in the handwheel is into the ( ) direction. Sew two straight lines with very loose thread tension. Gather fabric towards the knots while holding the other end of lower thread. Remove the straight stitches after finishing the smocking. Be sure that the declutch knob in the handwheel is into the ( ) direction. [. . . ] When the bobbin case tension is correct, the thread should slide down with light resistance. When the bobbin case tension is too tight, the thread does not slide down, or the thread jerks. When the bobbin case tension is too loose, the thread easily slides down with no resistance.
