When the child safety lock is activated, the drum door cannot be opened and a program cannot be started. To activate the safety lock Before activating the lock: ­ the drum door must be closed, ­ the program selector must be at "End". Turn on the washer using the "On/Off" button. Press the "Heavy Soil" button and hold the button pressed in during steps 3. Turn the program selector slowly in a clockwise motion to "COTTONS/ 140 °F". Turn the program selector slowly in a counterclockwise motion to "End". To deactivate the safety lock Repeat steps 1. The "Door Lock" indicator goes out.
