Server: The SMCWAPS-G will be a DHCP server on the 40 network. Auto: Select this option to let SMCWAPS-G send out a DCHP request during boot up. If you have a DHCP server on the network, the SMCWAPS-G will receive an automatic IP address and subnet mask assignment. If there is no DHCP server on the network, the SMCWAPS-G will be a DHCP server on the network. Static: You can manually configure the IP address and subnet mask of SMCWAPS-G. Server Settings: (These information would be used when you choose Server mode or Static mode. ) Subnet Mask: subnet mask of your network. IP Pool: decide the IP address range that DHCP server could offer. Primary DNS / Secondary DNS: This feature allows you to assign DNS Servers. You could get this information from your ISP. Gateway: The gateway IP address would be the IP address of an alternate gateway. If you do not know how to setup the gateway, please contact your network administrator or ISP.
