DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS TIMER KNOB Allows selection of manual cooking or the minute minder function with the oven automatically switched off at the end of the cooking time. To control the cooking time in manual mode, turn the knob to the symbol . To set the cooking duration, turn the knob clockwise. Setting is on a gradual scale and intermediate positions between the numbers shown can be used. At the end of the cooking time the knob automatically turns to the 0 setting, the oven switches off and a buzzer sounds. GREEN LIGHT Comes on to indicate cooking has started. Goes out to indicate that cooking is over. THERMOSTAT KNOB Allows selection of the cooking temperature most suitable for the food to be cooked. Make the setting by turning the knob clockwise to the value required. Setting is on a gradual scale, so all the intermediate positions between the numbers can be used. ORANGE LIGHT Indicates that the oven is warming up. It goes out when the temperature inside the oven has reached the value selected with the thermostat knob. During cooking, this light switches on and off to indicate that the temperature inside the oven is being kept constant. 4. USING THE OVEN 20 Instructions for the user 4. 1. Precautions and General Advice When the oven is used for the first time, it should be heated to the maximum temperature for long enough to burn off any oily residues left by the manufacturing process. If you have to carry out any procedures on foods, leave the door open for as short a time as possible to ensure the temperature inside the oven does not drop far enough to impair cooking results. 4. 2.
