Water softener chemicals such as salt can damage the ice maker and lead to poor quality ice. 44 COMMON ICE MAKER PROBLEMS PROBLEM The dispenser does not work. CAUSE The freezer compartment door is open. The ice bucket is not properly installed. The dispenser has not been used for extended periods, causing the ice cubes to melt together. SOLUTION Close the freezer compartment door. Make sure that the bucket is pushed all the way in. Shake the bucket occasionally to keep cubes separate and to increase storage capacity. Throw old ice cubes away and make a new supply. Wait about 3 minutes for the dispenser motor to reset. [. . . ] · Connect the transition connector (2) to the household water supply (3). · Make sure that the water tube is not twisted. · The appliance is pre-set for operation at pressures between 1. 7 and 8. 1 bar (25 and 117 PSI). · The appliance does not require any adjustment or water drain. 23 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION Regulations require that the appliance is earthed.
