Manual abstract: user guide SOLAC KT8555

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] â· This appliance is not for use by persons (including children) whose physical, sensorial or mental capacities are impaired, or who lack sufficient experience or knowledge, unless they have been supervised or instructed in the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. â· Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. In the event of any anomaly in the cord or any other part of the appliance, do not use it and take it to an authorised assistance service. â· Do not use parts or accessories that are not supplied or recommended by SOLAC. [. . . ] Hold the jar by the handle and do not touch the body of the jar while it is working. â· Make sure that there is water in the tank, before switching on the appliance. â· The jar is not suitable for use in microwave ovens. : When you wish to dispose of the appliance, NEVER throw it in the rubbish. Instead, go your nearest CLEAN POINT or waste collection point, where it will receive subsequent treatment. You will thus be helping to take care of the environment. There are two safety systems that switch the appliance off, when the Water reaches the boiling point (the operation thermostat) or when the tank is empty (the safety thermostat). Completely remove all the elements inside or outside the appliance that were used for packing and transporting it. If the appliance is hot, handle it with care and hold it only by the handle. Use the appliance only with the original base plate. To fill the jar, first remove it from the base plate, to prevent water from spilling on the plate. Take care to avoid the steam and do not open the lid while the appliance is on. This can cause injuries from steam and hot water splashes. Before using it for the first time, use the appliance twice with water only to clean the system. 1 Plug the appliance into the mains and collect the leftover cord in the cord dispenser at the bottom of the base plate (1) (available in models KT5860/65). When filling, make sure the water level is between the MIN and MAX marks. Otherwise, the excess water will spill during boiling and there is a risk of burns. 3 Close the lid (4) , place the jar (3) on the base plate (1) (Fig. 2), and make sure that it does not wobble. The pilot light (8) lights up blue in models KT5860/65. [. . . ] Another solution is to use a 1:1 mixture of water and vinegar. 2 Wait until the descaling product has dissolved the built up scale. Remove the descaling product and rinse out the inside of the jar. 3 Use the appliance twice with water only, pouring out the water each time to completely eliminate the scale remains. [. . . ]
