1	 Turn off your VAIO computer,  disconnect the power cord and all connection
cables,  and close the LCD screen lid. 

2	 Loosen the three or two screws with a coin.

3	 Pull the battery pack slightly in the direction of the arrow.

Do not pull the battery pack forcibly when you cannot remove it. Loosen the screws once again. 

4	 Take the battery pack out of your VAIO computer.

To reinstall the battery pack
Install the battery pack into the battery compartment on the bottom of your VAIO computer. 

1	 Turn off your VAIO computer,  disconnect the power cord and all connection
cables,  and close the LCD screen lid. 

2	 Align the battery pack with the front side of the battery compartment.

3	 Turn the battery pack in the direction of the arrow and push it down into the
compartment.

4	 Tighten the three or two screws with a coin.
