The customer must be prepared to supply proof of the purchase date. The system processor unit, keyboard, mouse, and Hewlett-Packard accessories inside the system processor unit --such as video adapters, mass storage devices, and interface controllers-- are covered by this warranty. During the on-site warranty period, customer-replaceable components may be serviced through expedited part shipment. In this event, SONY will prepay shipping charges, duty, and taxes; provide telephone assistance on replacement of the component when necessary; and pay shipping charges, duty, and taxes for any part that SONY asks to be returned. Appendix A 17 Regulatory Information and Warranty SONY Hardware Warranty On-site visits caused by non-Hewlett-Packard products --whether internal or external to the system processor unit-- are subject to standard per-incident travel and labor charges. On-site service for this product is restricted or unavailable in certain locations. In SONY Excluded Travel Areas-- areas where geographical obstacles, undeveloped roads, or unsuitable public transportation prohibit routine travel-- service is provided on a negotiated basis at extra charge. Response time for SONY on-site service in an SONY Service Travel Area is normally next business day (excluding SONY holidays) for SONY Travel Zones 1-3 (generally 100 miles or 160 Km from the SONY office). [. . . ] Customer may not lease, sublicense the software or distribute copies or adaptations of the software to the public in physical media or by telecommunication without the prior written consent of Hewlett-Packard. Hewlett-Packard may terminate this software license for failure to comply with any of these terms provided Hewlett-Packard has requested Customer to cure the failure and Customer has failed to do so within thirty (30) days of such notice. Customer agrees that the software does not include updates and upgrades which may be available from Hewlett-Packard under a separate support agreement.
