When you transfer files directly from devices other than the internal hard disk drive, such as a CD-ROM drive or hard disk drive on a network, set the System Suspend and System Hibernation timers to off. Check the Status tag of the Infrared Monitor in the Windows Control Panel to determine if the infrared device is detected.
