Make sure your set-top box is switched on and tuned to the channel you wish to record. Set your VCR correctly to record at the appropriate time, making sure that your VCR is set to record its `channel for digital satellite TV', or if your set-top box is connected to your VCR via a SCART lead, making sure your VCR is set to record its appropriate AV channel.
