The initial value is either 0. 0° or the value accepted when last setting the declination. Slope The slope function is intended for measuring the degree of slope. To measure the slope, follow these steps: 1. To access the function menu, press Suunto in the main display. In the function menu, scroll to Slope with the arrow buttons and press Suunto. When you incline the X6, it starts to display the angle indicating the degree of slope on the screen. The sighting marks on the ring help to point to the chosen direction. When the angle is selected, lock it by pressing Start. To unlock the angle and start measuring the slope again, press Start. To move back to the function menu, press Suunto. NOTE: The measured value is not saved to the Suunto X6 memory! 30 3. 4. Main Display When you select the Weather mode, the main display opens. Temperature The first row displays the temperature in the selected unit. For more information about defining the unit of the temperature, refer to page 23. NOTE: Because the sensor is close to your wrist, you have to keep the Suunto X6 away from the body's temperature at least for 15 minutes before the temperature measurement is accurate. When you measure the temperature of the water, less time away from the body is required. Air pressure The second row displays the air pressure at sea level. For more information about defining the unit of the air pressure, refer to page 23. Shortcuts The third row of the main display contains shortcuts to three functions. To change the function, press the Stop/CL button. A graphical presentation of the development of the air pressure (sea level) during the last 6 hours in 15-minute intervals. The absolute air pressure is the actual pressure in the location you are at that moment.
