. . . 11 3 PRECAUTIONS Read This Before Operating Choose the installation location of your unit carefully. LINE IN jacks Connect these jacks to the TAPE REC jacks on the amplifier : White pin-plug White jack (L-Ch) Red pin-plug Red jack (R-Ch) If humming occurs during playback Interference from the receiver may cause a hum during tape playback. If this occurs, change the location of the tape deck from above the receiver to below it. Recording from AM radio broadcasts is difficult. Select the desired play direction by pressing one of the play button ( / ). ) button when you want to stop play- This function is to play a cassette tape continuously until you stop the operation of the cassette tape. Open the cassette holder by pressing " " PUSH OPEN lightly and insert the desired tape into either of the cassette holders. Press play button Deck I or Deck II as applicable. - The indicator will light up and playing will start. Note : If you press play button of Deck II while the cassette tape of Deck I is being played, the cassette tape of Deck II will begin to play. 7 Playing by use of SKIP button Recording of a cassette tape This function is used when you want to listen to the previous or next music item while playing the cassette tape. button If you press button while playing in forward direction, the forward direction indicator will blink and the system will play the next music item to the one being played. button If you press button while playing in forward direction, the backward direction indicator will blink and the system will search for the previous music item just before the one being played and play it. A cassette can only be recorded in Deck II. Select the source to record from on your amplifier (CD, VCR, TUNER, etc, . ) 1. [. . . ] Select the direction of the cassette tape for recording in Deck II. - The indicator in the selected button will stop blinking, and the other one will go out. Select the direction of the cassette tape for playing in Deck I. - Dubbing will start in the selected direction. Tab If the tab is removed, recording is impossible even though you press REC button.
