Dual PLL/Message ON-OFF
With some source devices, notably satellite receivers, the output frequency can drift and thereby not always allow the Casa Nova to lock onto this signal. [. . . ] In some cases the source device's sampling frequency can vary from the standard frequency. The Casa Nova's crystal-based PLL is unable to track large variances due to its extremely high quality design. A wider PLL can accommodate a grossly off-frequency source that is received by the Casa Nova and still lock on and process it. The two values for this parameter are NARROW and WIDE. Narrow is the default and best sounding and should be used at all times except when it is necessary to use WIDE. This parameter is programmable by input. Once a selection has been made, press SETUP three times to return to the INPUT SELECT menu. Figure 2 below shows this same sub menu for the On-Screen Display.

Messages As described in the Owner's Manual, If the Casa Nova detects a Dolby Digital signal on the selected input jack, and the MODE is not set to DOLBY DIGITAL, the Casa Nova will display the following message on both the LCD and video monitor: **RECEIVING DOLBY DIGITAL SIGNAL** CHANGING MODE TO DOLBY DIGITAL and display DOLBY DIGITAL as the current mode. [. . . ] Press SETUP twice to return to the main INPUT SELECT menu.
