Saturation 0 0 0 0 0 0 Brightness 0 0 0 0 0 0 26 CONTROLS AND FEATURES English Auto Brightness Sensor Settings When Auto Brightness Sensor Settings is activated it will automatically optimise the backlighting levels to suit ambient light conditions. Black/White Level Black/White Level increases the strength of dark areas of the picture to improve the definition. a b In the Advanced Picture Settings menu press b to select Auto Brightness Sensor Settings and press a b In the Advanced Picture Settings menu press b to select Black/White Level. The effect depends on the broadcast and is most noticeable on dark colours. Q. Press C or c to select On and press Q. Auto Brightness Sensor Settings Auto Brightness Sensor Backlight Adjustment Pro On Static Gamma The static gamma feature allows you to adjust the levels of black in the picture. c d e Press b to select Backlight Adjustment Pro and press Q. The Backlight Adjustment Pro window will appear. Press Q again to display the adjustment window. Press C or c to select the point and press B or b to adjust the level. MPEG NR ­ Noise Reduction When watching a DVD the compression may cause some words or picture elements to become distorted or pixelated. Using the MPEG NR feature reduces this effect by smoothing out the edges. 48 a Cancel Reset Control Level In the Advanced Picture Settings menu press b to select Noise Reduction and press Q. Press b to select MPEG NR. Noise Reduction MPEG NR Low Auto DNR 0 b Ambient Light f Press Q to fix the adjustment. To cancel the adjustment when selecting a point, select Cancel and press Q. To return the adjustments of all points to the factory defaults, select Reset and press Q. c Press C or c to select Low, Middle, High or Off to suit your preference. DNR ­ Digital Noise Reduction DNR enables you to `soften' the screen representation of a weak signal to reduce the noise effect. Press C or c to select On or Off. 27 CONTROLS AND FEATURES English Resolution+ The Resolution+ feature allows you to adjust the clarity levels for your desired picture settings. Expert Mode This feature allows you to turn the colours red, green, and blue On/Off individually in order to adjust each colour more accurately. NOTE: This feature is not available when Picture Mode is set to AutoView. a b In the Advanced Picture Settings menu, press b to select Resolution+ and press Q. In the Resolution+ field, select On. Resolution+ Resolution+ Level 3 On a b In the Advanced Picture Settings menu, press b to select Expert Mode and press Q. Press B or b to select either Red, Green or Blue you want to adjust and press C or c to select On. Select Off on other two colours. Expert Mode Red On On Off 50 50 Green Blue Colour Tint c Press b to highlight Level, then press C or c to adjust the level. NOTE: · This feature may not work properly depending on the content. · Adjustable range varies according to the Picture Mode you set. · The noise may appear on the image depending on the device connected to the TV (e. g. a device with specific enhancer function). c Press b to select Colour or Tint, and then press C or c to adjust. Active Vision M100/200 This feature will reduce picture blur without decreasing image brightness, or adding flicker. NOTE: Active Vision M100 is for the XV 6** series models and Active Vision M200 is for the ZV 6** series models. Resetting the advanced picture settings This feature allows you to reset the current Advanced Picture Settings to the default values. a b a b In the Advanced Picture Settings menu press b to select Active Vision M100 (Active Vision M200). Press C or c to select On or Off. In the Advanced Picture Settings menu, press b to select Reset.
