Make sure that the memory module tilts up and then pull it out in the direction of the arrow (2). 7 Remove the new memory module from its packaging. n 109 N Upgrading Your VAIO Computer 8 Slide the memory module into the memory module slot and push it in until it clicks into place. !Do not touch any other components on the motherboard. Be sure to insert the connector edge of the memory module into the slot while aligning the notch on the module with the small projection in the open slot. 9 Replace the memory module compartment cover. 10 Tighten the screw on the bottom of the computer. 11 Reinstall the battery pack and turn on the computer. n 110 N Upgrading Your VAIO Computer Viewing the Amount of Memory To view the amount of memory 1 2 3 Turn on the computer. Click Start, All Programs, and VAIO Control Center. Double-click the System Information icon under the System Information folder. You can view the amount of system memory. The electromagnetic field of the computer may cause a malfunction. Provide adequate air circulation to prevent internal overheating.
