[. . . ] To delete a PLU when there is no scale connected: do not have a scale assigned in the Scale Table to the same department of the PLU to be deleted. Add/Edit Ingredients Each PLU can have up to 38 lines of Ingredients and each line can be 54 characters long (32 characters if the bold font is selected). -3- ScaData Maintenance Scale View Owner's Manual Ingredients can be imported from any PLU in the database, just make sure to enter the correct dept number. When saving the Ingredients there are 3 options. "YES: save and add to batch": this option will save the Ingredients and set the batch flag on. "NO: save only": this option will save the Ingredients and set the batch flag off. "CANCEL: no changes saved": any changes including the batch flag will be ignored. Delete Ingredients To delete all the Ingredients for a PLU, but not the PLU , delete all lines and leave a single space in line 1. Save and send to scale. Add/Edit Nutrition Each PLU can have nutritional facts linked to it. Serving Size and Servings Per Container may have a maximum of 18 characters each. However, the total number of characters including the titles themselves (i. e. Serving Size) cannot exceed 30 characters. This means that as it stands the field for Servings Per Container will only print 8 characters even though it contains 18. If more characters are needed then the Titles program in the scale will have to be changed (i. e. All 5 digit fields may have a single decimal place. Due to formatting, only the tab button will move the cursor to the next field. Nutritional facts may be imported from another PLU. Press the import button once then enter the correct PLU and dept number. Press the import button again to import or close to abort import. To delete just the nutritional facts but not the PLU itself, this must be done at the scale. -5- Scheduled Batches Scale View Owner's Manual SCHEDULED BATCHES Send by Batch with Windows Task Scheduler Scheduled batches can be performed using the Windows Task Scheduler. A scheduled batch will error if Scale View is currently in operation. [. . . ] This error will display when running the Scale View for the first time. Start Windows Explorer, go to "c:\program files\scaleview\" and double click on the driver icon. A new window will open, click on File in new window and then on Exit.
