Picture Position The picture position may be adjusted to suit personal preference and can be particularly useful for external inputs. a In the SETUP menu, press b until Picture Position is highlighted. PICTURE Picture Mode Reset Backlight Contrast Brightness Colour Tint Sharpness 60 95 0 0 0 0 AutoView b c Press Q to view the options available for the picture format that has been selected. Press B and b to select an option, then C or c to adjust the settings. The options alter depending on the currently selected widescreen format and the input signal. In Cinema mode: Picture Position Horizontal Position Vertical Position 0 0 Reset b Press C or c to select the picture mode you prefer and press Q. NOTE: The picture mode you select affects the current input only. You can select a different picture mode for each input. Picture preferences You can customise current picture mode settings as desired. For example, while selecting "Dynamic", if you change the following items, such as Backlight, Contrast, Brightness, Colour, Tint, Sharpness and the Advanced Picture Settings items, your new settings are saved for "Dynamic" picture mode. To return to the original factory settings, select Reset in the Picture Position menu and press Q. a b In the PICTURE menu press b to select either Backlight, Contrast, Brightness, Colour, Tint or Sharpness and press Q. Press C or c to adjust the settings. 27 CONTROLS AND FEATURES English Reset This feature resets all picture settings to the factory settings except Picture Mode. NOTE: If no picture settings have been changed, Reset is not available. c Press C or c to select Hue, Saturation or Brightness, and then press B or b to adjust the settings as required. Hue Red 0 Saturation 0 Brightness -1 a b In the PICTURE menu, press b to select Reset and press Q. Select Off for the other two colours. NOTE: · This feature may not work properly depending on the content. · Adjustable range varies according to the Picture Mode you set. · Noise may appear in the picture depending on the device connected to the TV (e. g. a device with a specific enhancer function). c Press b to select Colour or Tint, and then press C or c to adjust. Active Vision M200 This feature will reduce picture blur without decreasing image brightness, or adding flicker. Resetting the advanced picture settings This feature allows you to reset the current Advanced Picture Settings to the default values. a b In the Advanced Picture Settings menu, press b to select Active Vision M200. Press C or c to select On or Off. a b In the Advanced Picture Settings menu, press b to select Reset. Press Q. NOTE: When Picture Mode is set to Game, this feature will be greyed out and automatically set to Off. Film Stabilization The Film Stabilization feature allows the adjustment of motion smoothness. a b In the Advanced Picture Settings menu, press b to select Film Stabilization. Press C or c to select Standard, Smooth or Off. NOTE: When Picture Mode is set to AutoView, the Film Stabilization feature will have an additional "Auto" mode. 30 CONTROLS AND FEATURES English Control Visualization This feature displays the brightness histogram and control curve of each scene. 4:3 Stretch When 4:3 Stretch is activated, the size switching system changes 4:3 programmes into full screen picture. a In the PICTURE menu, press b to select Control Visualization and press Q. The histogram window will appear. Control Visualization Distribution a b In the PREFERENCES menu, press b to highlight 4:3 Stretch. Press C or c to select On or Off. Blue Screen Number Of Pixels When Blue Screen is selected the screen will turn blue and the sound will be muted on analogue channels and external input modes when no signal is received. a Brightness In the PREFERENCES menu, press b to highlight Blue Screen. Press C or c to select On or Off. Control Curve b Output Side panel adjustment Input b The Side Panel feature lightens or darkens the band on each side of the screen when in 4:3 or 14:9 format. This helps prevent image retention of the band and can also make viewing in bright or dark conditions more comfortable. Press RETURN to return to the previous menu. a b In the PREFERENCES menu, and press b to select Side Panel.
