[. . . ] The switch-over to the cellular mode of operation is only for the duration of the call and will not occur if a call on the telco line is in progress. Data Applications For certain data applications it is desirable to immediately switch from the cellular to the telco mode of operation when the telco line is restored and while a cellular call is in progress. This capability is programmed into the CPE ONE and can be activated at the factory or in the field by a qualified lab technician. [. . . ] Connect a suitable antenna to the TNC antenna connector. Plug the AC adapter into a 115 VAC outlet. Then connect the included power cable to the 12 VDC receptacle of the CPE ONE . After a delay of 5 seconds, the power LED will light up and the CPE ONE is ready to operate a telephone or appropriate data equipment plugged into the RJ11 jack marked PHONE. A cellular handset is not required in order to activate the CPE ONE. In addition, AutoSafe will turn the CPE ONE on after approximately 30 seconds following a power outage or if the unit has been accidentally turned off from the Motorola cellular handset Programming The Motorola transceiver of the CPE ONE can be programmed for cellular service in the NAM or Test programming mode. For NAM programming, operate the CPE ONE as described above. Make sure that the slide switch is in the ENABLE position. Plug the enclosed Motorola handset into the RJ45 jack marked PROG and follow the enclosed Motorola NAM programming instructions. The cellular handset should be removed when programming is complete. To program the CPE ONE in Test mode, turn off the power and slide the switch to the DISABLE position. If a battery backup module is used, disconnect the module from the CPE ONE . Power the unit up using the AC adapter and follow the Motorola instructions for Test mode programming using the included Motorola cellular handset. [. . . ] Cellular operation is indicated by a slow dim-bright blinking of the yellow POWER LED. The Line Sensor will also switch to the cellular mode of operation if the telco line does not provide dial tone to a telephone connected at the PHONE jack of the CPE ONE . In the absence of dial tone, the Line Sensor will switch to the "cellular line" in less than one second. [. . . ]
