Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Release Notice This is the February 2011 release (Revision A) of the Trimble GPS Analyst Extension Release Notes. It applies to version 2. 40 of the Trimble GPS Analyst extension for Esri ArcGIS Desktop software. 2 Trimble GPS Analyst Extension Release Notes Introduction Welcome to the release notes for version 2. 40 of the Trimble® GPS AnalystTM extension for Esri ArcGIS 10 Desktop software. Please read these release notes carefully. The GPS Analyst extension enables you to store and work with Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) data directly within the ArcGIS software environment. [. . . ] On the General tab, if Start type is not already set to Automatic, select Automatic and then click Apply. Select the Recovery tab, and make sure that First failure, Second failure, and Subsequent failures are set to Restart the Service. Click Apply and then click OK. Grid editing · When installing the GPS Analyst extension, a tab is erroneously created in the Layers / Properties / Data Frame Properties / Setup a New Grid / Go to Properties for the grid / Labels / Advanced Properties dialog. Trimble recommends disabling the GPS Analyst extension when editing a grid. H-Star postprocessing · When H-Star postprocessing with multiple base stations, you cannot perform a folder search or browse to a folder for base station data. Each base station must be defined and added to the group of H-Star base stations. The base station data field can point to a local or network folder (rather than an Internet URL), into which the base station data can be loaded. Multiple GPScorrect. ssf files · The GPS Analyst extension is not able to use data from more than one GPScorrect. ssf file. Users of version 1. 10 and later of the Trimble GPScorrect extension for Esri ArcPad software who collect a data file over seven days in length are able to save the file as GPScorrect_1. ssf, and then start a new GPScorrect. ssf file. To ensure that all data is brought back to the geodatabase, Trimble recommends that users bring their data back to the office prior to the 7-day length limit of the SSF file. 4 Trimble GPS Analyst Extension Release Notes Differential correction · Corrected session not fully corrected if using GPS Pathfinder® XC receiver. Users who collect data with GPS Analyst field tools may see a processing issue where data collected with a GPS Pathfinder XC receiver does not fully correct. This is due to the elevation mask not being reported and recorded in the geodatabase correctly when connected to a GPS Pathfinder XC receiver. To prevent this issue from occurring, select Use new filter settings instead of Use data collection filter settings in the Correction Settings dialog, which you can open from the Differential Correction Wizard: · Processing fails if "comma" used instead of "point" for decimal symbol. The Microsoft® Windows® operating system allows localized settings to set the comma (, ) as the decimal symbol. This causes problems with H-Star processing. To prevent this problem from occurring, use "point" (. ) as the decimal symbol. If the Windows operating system you are using is: Windows Vista®, open the Control Panel and then select Regional and Language Options (if Regional and Language Options is not visible, first click Classic View on the left panel). On the Regional Options tab click Customize this format. Change the symbol in the Decimal symbol dropdown list to a point. Windows XP, open the Control Panel and then select Regional and Language Options. Select the Regional Options tab, click Customize and then select the Numbers tab. Change the symbol in the Decimal symbol dropdown list to a point. · When running the GPS Analyst extension on a Tablet PC using the Microsoft Windows XP operating system, you may encounter difficulties with selecting GNSS sessions for differential correction. [. . . ] From ArcMap, exit the GPS Analyst extension and ArcMap as follows: 1. If you have started a GNSS edit session, select Stop GNSS Editing from the Trimble GPS Analyst drop-down menu. Do one of the following: Click Yes to save the edits. The modified features as well as the GNSS data that the features are linked to are saved in the geodatabase. [. . . ]
