[. . . ] Before you upgrade the firmware, Trimble recommends that you download and back up any files that are on the receiver. 11. 1 Upgrading an SPS Modular receiver There are two ways to load the new firmware. In both cases ensure, that the receiver warranty date is September 2009 or later. Then: · If using the WinFlash utility, use the latest version that is available with the version 4. 17 web package. If using the receiver web interface to load the *. TIMG file, ensure that the receiver is already running version 3. 71 or later before stating this installation. Version 3. 71 is on the Trimble Support website. Note ­ If you have a receiver with firmware earlier than version 3. 60, first load version 3. 60 and then load version 3. 71 before loading version 4. 17. If required, contact your Trimble dealer to obtain version 3. 60. · SPS Series Receivers Release Notes 3 If your Trimble receiver is supplied with additional Trimble firmware or software products, make sure that those products are upgraded to the latest version. For more information about upgrading, refer to the release notes for the products. If any Internet Base Station (IBS) details change in the receiver while an existing connection to the IBSS exists, the receiver automatically restarts the IBSS connection to ensure the changes are kept current. 4 SPS Series Receivers Release Notes · The SNM910 cellular modem now supports a wider range of SIM cards from GPRS service providers, resolving the issue of the cellular modem not readily making an Internet connection when using some SIM cards. The receiver now correctly deregisters itself from the list of discovered devices when it is turned off. Receivers now no longer randomly go into PC Loader or Remote Monitor mode. When an application file is started, a selected user-defined 450 MHz transmit frequency is now retained as the selected frequency in the application file. SPSx61 Repeat RTCM output is now compatible with Kongsberg Seapath Series systems. Kongsberg Seapath Series systems can now decode and use the Repeat RTCM output, which is generated from the internal MSK Beacon receiver.
