GPS is simulated and follows a predefined route. TerraSync Evaluation Software Release Notes Sample Files The TerraSync evaluation software is installed with sample files for the City of Seaview. The files are: · Seaview. ddf ­ data dictionary file · Seaview. ssf ­ data file · Seaview. bmp ­ background raster image file · Seaview. wld ­ the associated world file for the background image · Seaview. cs ­ the associated coordinate system file for the background image These files are referenced to the US State Plane 1983 system, Massachusetts Mainland 2001 zone, NAD 1983 (Conus) datum. TerraSync Evaluation Software Release Notes Data Files and File Transfer The TerraSync evaluation software differs from the fully operational version of the software in its handling of data files in the following ways: · The GPS Pathfinder Office software does not support the TerraSync evaluation software. You cannot use the Data Transfer utility to transfer files created by the evaluation software to the GPS Pathfinder Office software, and you cannot transfer data files to the TerraSync evaluation software. · The fully operational version of the TerraSync software includes functions that convert TerraSync data files to Shapefiles and convert Shapefiles into data, data dictionary, or background files. These functions are not available in the TerraSync evaluation software. · You can use the TerraSync evaluation software to send and receive files by e-mail. However, the GPS Pathfinder Office software does not recognize any data files that you send from the TerraSync evaluation software. The TerraSync evaluation software does not recognize data files or vector background files sent by e-mail, but it does recognize e-mailed data dictionary and raster background files. · E-mail functions are not available in the desktop version of the TerraSync evaluation software.
