The battery compartment is located at the back of the device and can be opened by pressing down the plastic lug. The three light emitting diodes above the "HI-LO-OFF" step switch on the front indicate the capacity of the inserted batteries. ⷠThe red LED display lights up when new batteries must be inserted. ⷠThe yellow LED display lights up when the batteries are getting weak. ⷠThe green LED display lights up when the batteries are fully operational.
