[. . . ] · Battery: Use ONLY the battery supplied with your Ultra Motor LEV. Caution: Use of any battery not supplied with your Ultra Motor LEV WILL void the warranty and may cause damage to the electrical system of the vehicle and the hub motor. Use only the battery supplied with the vehicle, or a battery provided by Ultra Motor as a replacement for the battery supplied with the vehicle. Note: Prior to it's first use, charge the battery supplied with your LEV for at least twelve (12) hours. Warning: Use only the charger supplied with your battery. If you use any other battery charger, you will void the warranty, you may damage the battery and you could cause a fire that would result in property damage and possibly cause injury or death. Follow the instructions for battery charging in Section VI of this manual. Note: If you plan to store your vehicle in excess of thirty (30) days, please follow the battery storage guidelines given in the Battery Storage instructions in Section VI of this manual. Warning: Failure to properly use, charge and store the battery supplied with your Ultra Motor vehicle will void the warranty and may cause a hazardous situation. Please read and follow all instructions for the use and care of the battery provided with your vehicle. If you are uncertain about any aspect of the use and care of your battery, please do not hesitate to contact your local dealer. One more time, before you hit the road, the trail, the sidewalk, or leave your garage for that matter: These key facts are at the beginning of our owner's manual. But, in case you're the type of rider who flipped through the first few pages, we're putting them in here again. They are worth repeating because your safety is worth it. Please read, understand and practice the following guidelines for safe operation of your Ultra Motor vehicle: · Your head deserves a helmet: There is no single factor that works better at reducing the severity of injuries sustained in bicycle accidents than a quality bicycle helmet. Please don't ever ride your vehicle without one. If you loan your vehicle to someone else ­ make sure you loan the helmet, too!· Your Ultra Motor LEV is not a tandem: Your LEV was engineered to carry one single rider safely. The rack on the back is for luggage or a battery. Overloading the LEV with a second rider can lead to severe injury or death. At the very least ­ two people on your vehicle will severely impact the performance. Encourage your friends to buy their own Ultra Motor LEV. · Your LEV means you're cool. It does not mean you are above the law: Obey all traffic laws, always ride on the right side, with, not against traffic. [. . . ] When properly closed, it is impossible to move unless you open it again by reversing the steps above.
