Then press greeting again while the outgoing message is played. This switches between the prerecorded greeting and the personal greeting. After finishing playing back the message, a confirmation tone is heard. Announce only feature The announce only feature plays a pre-recorded outgoing message or your own personal outgoing message, but it will not allow the caller to leave a message. To set announce only, follow the steps on "Setting the Record Time" page 39. If you want to use your own greeting and you want to change your greeting to omit the prompt to leave a message, refer to "Selecting Your Greeting" above. The following message is pre-recorded: "Hello, no one is available to take your call. Please call again. " Using Your Answering System The message counter displays the number of messages stored in memory. If the message LED flashes, then there are new messages waiting for you. The answering system is designed to play your new messages first. After you play all your new messages, you can then play your old messages. The time and day that each message was received is announced after the message is played. The message counter will then display the number of current stored messages. 2) When all new messages have been played, you hear a confirmation tone, and the system announces "End of messages. " The system returns to standby. 3) After you have reviewed your new messages, you can play your old messages by pressing (play/stop) again. Once you have listened to a new message, it then becomes an old message. The old messages will be played in the order in which they were received. Repeating a message (play/stop) to review your messages. The number of stored messages is 1) Press announced.
