An error tone sounds and the same message appears. · Pressing PTT disables Scanning, TripleWatch checking and DualWatch checking. If the channel has no carrier, the first press of PTT takes the radio out of scan mode. · Continuous transmitting is limited to 5 minutes by regulations. After this time, an error tone sounds and RELEASE PTT KEY displays. After you release PTT, pressing PTT restarts the 5-minute time interval again. Using the Radio Menu Options The MHS450 lets you select options that personalize your use of the radio and makes using it more convenient. Press MENU to access the multi-choice radio menu. RADIO MENU appears at the top of the screen. Press MENU again to return to the default marine mode or use or to move and highlight the desired menu option.
