If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your appliance dealer or local power company. [. . . ] Lightning-For added protection for this product during lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power-line surges. Overloading-Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock. Object and Liquid Entry-Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. Servicing-Do not attempt to service product yourself as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified sersonnel. 2 15. Damage Requiring Service-Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: a. When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged. If liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the product. If the product has been exposed to rain or water. The detachable cross fader is provided for quick maintenance. A powerful 3 band EQ with +6/-24dB range is provided along with the instant out switch on each band. More sensitve and drastic control can be achieved for Techno/Trans mixing. 3 FUNCTIONS MIC INPUT SECTION PROGRAM INPUT SECTION MASTER SECTION 4 PROGRAM INPUT SECTION 1 2 3 4 6 EQUALIZER (LOW 80Hz +6dB -24dB, Shelving type) Adjusts the LOW freguency level for each PGM channel. 7 EQ CUT SWITCH ( HI, MID, LOW ) Cuts off the each frequency range by 24dB. The EQUALIZER volume dose not function when this switch is set to "CUT". 8 EFFECT SWITCH Used to send the signal to the external effect processor connected to the effect SEND/RETURN. 9 P. F. L. . SWITCH Used to send the signal from the PGM channel to the monitor section for headphone monitoring. 7 5 6 10 11 OVERLOAD INDICATOR Lights when input level is over. INPUT FADER This is a detachable fader for the ease of replacement. Replace with IF-17 when it is worn out. 8 9 10 HOW TO REPLACE THE FADER 11 Remove four screws which is holding the fader panel. Carefully remove the multi-cable connector from the fader unit. Insert the connector to the new fader unit. Place the fader unit and tighten the screws. 1 INPUT SELECTOR Used to select input (2 line or 1 phono) to be sent to each PGM channel. 2 TRIM CONTROL Adjusts the input level of each channel. Set INPUT FADER to 7-8 position, adjust the TRIM CONTROL so that the sufficient signal is fed without distortion. + + 3 BALANCE CONTROL Adjusts the stereo balance for each PGM channel. Can be used for adjusting the unbalanced stereo image. A counter clockwise rotation increases the volume of L channel over R. Remove four 4 sarews Remove the multi cable connector + + 4 5 EQUALIZER (HI 10Hz +6dB -24dB, Shelving type) Adjusts the HI frequeny level of each PGM channel. EQUALIZER (MID 1KHz +6dB -24dB, Peaking type) Adjusts the MID frequeny level of each PGM channel. 5 12 CROSS FADER When the input level of PGM1 and PGM2 are properly set, PGM1 will be heard with the cross fader set to the left side.
