[. . . ] If the camera will not power-up and nothing appears on the Status LCD panel, the batteries may be inserted in wrong orientation. Reverse the orientation of the batteries and try again. Batteries must be installed and in good condition to retain images in the cameras memory. If the batteries are removed, your images will be lost. [. . . ] The image counter increments by one (i. e. from 000 to 001) as the image is captured and stored to memory.
b. If you press the Mode button once, it will display `oFF'. to turn off the camera, placing it in standby mode.

c. If you press the Mode button twice, the camera displays `So' meaning "Strobe off" indicating that the flash (strobe) is turned off. If you press the Shutter button while "So" is displayed you will notice the `Flash' icon blinks, indicating that the flash is charging. When the flash icon stops blinking the charging process is completed and you may capture an image using the flash.

"So" means "Strobe off" and the flash is off.
When the flash icon is blinking, the flash is charging. To turn off the flash press the Mode button twice until you see `SL'. Press the shutter button once to turn off the Flash. "SL" means "Strobe Lamp" is on.
Note that the flash will always be off when the camera is powered up from the standby mode or when new batteries are inserted. Pressing the Mode button three times brings up the timer icon. (This applies to all versions of Windows 98SE/Me/2000/Xp) 1. Insert the product CD-ROM into your PCs CD-ROM drive. It will run automatically and display a Welcome Screen. Click on `Install Camera Driver' to start camera driver installation. After the driver is installed you may install the included software titles. < After installation, you may need to restart your PC. After restarting, connect the camera to your PC using the USB cable. < Your PC will recognize the camera and complete the installation process.
After you have installed the ViviCam 25 driver you may connect to your PC with the provided USB cord.
Your PC will recognize the Camera and the installation will be completed.

8. Downloading Images to your PC
Locate the Viv iCam 25 folder on your PCs desktop.

It will open the ViviCam 25 Graphical User Interface (GUI). Click on the `DOWNLOAD' icon to download small thumbnail-sized representations of the images stored in camera memory. [. . . ] `Done': close the dialog panel.
