In case of defects in materials or workmanship, we will replace or repair the camera free of charge. This warranty applies to the camera only. This warranty does not include batteries, or other accessories which have not been manufactured by our company. [. . . ] (See page 10 to 11 for details on how to insert batteries or connect a power adapter. ) Connecting a USB cable between the camera and your PC can also provide power to the camera. (See page 18 to see a clear illustration on how to connect a USB cable. ) If you want to use a Compact Flash memory card to store your pictures, insert the memory card before you start taking pictures. Without a Compact Flash memory card installed, the pictures are stored in built-in memory. (For information on inserting memory card, see page 12 ). Turn the camera on by pressing the Power Button. The Ready LED located at the top side of the camera then lights up. Make sure that the camera is in DSC mode. To set the camera to DSC mode turn the mode, Mode Dial repeatedly until you see the DSC icon appear on the LCD panel. Using the Viewfinder, focus on the object you want to capture. Hold still and press the Shutter Release button to take the picture. The Ready LED blinks continuously as the camera captures an image and processes the image. When the Ready LED stops blinking, you can take the next picture. Auto - The camera automatically fires the flash when lighting in your surrounding is not bright enough. Picture Quality Two different elements determine the quality of the pictures that you take. The camera can take pictures at 640 X 480 resolution. The second element is the amount of compression applied to captured images. This camera can capture images using two types of compression settings: Normal (high compression) and Fine (low compression). The lower the compression, the higher the image quality will be but lesser number of pictures can be taken. Higher compression allows more pictures to be taken and the image quality is acceptable. Normal Quality - 32 pictures Fine Quality - 1 6 pictures (The total number of stored images may be varied with the free space of the memory, the mixture of the image quality mode, and also the complexity of the subject. ) Self-Timer The Self-Timer creates a 10-second delay between the time you press the Shutter Release button and the time the picture is taken. The 10-second delay is indicated by the Self-Timer LED flashing once per second for seven seconds, then twice per second for the last three seconds. After a picture has been taken, the Self-Timer sets off automatically. [. . . ] The camera consumes power from the PC through the USB port. Erasing Contents from the MULTIMEDIA CAMERA When both the camera's internal memory and the inserted Compact Flash Card are already full, it is time for you to erase some or all of their contents to free up storage space. But before you erase anything, make sure that you transfer the contents first to your PC if you still want to use them.
