[. . . ] If the new message alert tone s turned on, the telephone base wll beep every 10 seconds when there are unrevewed messages. Message playback 1. If you have new messages, you will hear only the new messages (oldest first). If there are no new messages, the system will play back all messages (oldest first). When playback begns, the total number of messages s announced, followed by the day and time of the first message to be played. Options during playback · Press VOL to adjust the speaker volume. · Press /SKIP to skp to the next message. · Press /REPEAT to repeat the message currently playng. Press /REPEAT twce to lsten to the prevous message. · Press X/DELETE to delete the current message. The system wll announce "To delete all old messages, press DELETE again. " Press X/DELETE agan. All prevously heard messages wll be erased and the system wll announce "All old messages deleted. " · "Memory is full, " wll be announced f you press RECORD when the memory s full. · Each memo can be up to four mnutes n length. · Memos shorter than one second wll not be recorded. Record and play memos Memos are your own recorded messages used as remnders for yourself or others usng the same answerng system. They are saved, played back and deleted n the same way as ncomng messages. Basic operation Answering system Record a memo 1. Press RECORD when the phone s not n use. The system announces, "Record after the tone. After the tone, speak towards the mcrophone at the bottom front of the telephone base from about nne nches away. Press /PLAY/STOP when finished recording. The system will announce "Recorded. " Memo playback Press /PLAY/STOP when the phone s not n use. However, f you want to slence the telephone base when messages are beng recorded, set the telephone base volume to ts lowest level (1). Remember to rase the volume n order to hear your messages durng playback.
