BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the unit. Use a coin or screwdriver to loosen the screw. Install 2 new "AA" (UM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. [. . . ] The lights will flash along with the sound. 2. To adjust the volume, slide the VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH located on the bottom of the unit to ( ) for Low Volume or ( ) for High Volume. 3. Slide the ON/OFF/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the OFF( ) position to turn the unit OFF. Note: To preserve battery life, the LITTLE SMART Land `n Sea JamboreeTM learning toy will turn off automatically after a few minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button. Slide the ON/OFF/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the TALKING MODE ( ) position. The lights will flash along with the music. 2. Press one of the ANIMAL FIGURES to hear a short phrase followed by a fun sound effect. The lights will flash along with the sound. 3. Press the ANIMAL FIGURE a second time to hear the musical instrument play a random melody. The lights will flash along with the music. 6 4. Press one of the LETTER BUTTONS to hear the letter identified. A light will flash along with the voice. 5. Press one of the LETTER BUTTONS while a melody is playing to hear the letter identified on top of the melody. 6. Press one of the PIANO KEYS to select a melody. The lights will flash along with the music. Press one of the ANIMAL FIGURES while a melody is playing to hear the animal sound effect play on top of the melody. The lights will flash along with the music. 8. Press the ANIMAL FIGURE a second time while the melody is playing to change the instrument playing. The lights will flash along with the music. B.
