Remove exhausted or new batteries from the equipment when the unit will not be used for an extended period of time. Do not attempt to recharge ordinary batteries. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES. NOTE: If for some reason the program/activity stops working, please follow these steps: 1. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries. The unit should now be ready to play again. S. or 1-800-267-7377 in Canada, and a service representative will be happy to help you. 4 TO BEGIN PLAY 1. To begin play, slide the ON/OFF/ MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the TALKING MODE ( ) or MUSIC MODE ( ) position. Lights will flash randomly with all the talking, music and sound effect activities. 3. To adjust the volume, locate the VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH on the bottom of the unit. Slide it to the ( ) position for LOW VOLUME or to the ( ) position for HIGH VOLUME. 5 4. To turn the unit OFF, slide the ON/ OFF/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the OFF ( ) position. Note: To preserve battery life, the LITTLE SMART Spin `n GrinTM Snail learning toy will automatically power-down after several minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button or by pulling the toy. ACTIVITIES A. Slide the ON/OFF/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the TALKING MODE ( ) position.
