The cover is equipped with a safety valve which shuts off the supply of gas when the cover is closed. However,  if the burner is not turned off when the cover is closed,  gas will escape from the burner when the cover is reopened. Note:
- If problems with local gas supply impede burner ignition,  repeat the sequence by turning the knob to the low flame symbol . 5019 319 61321
