Removing the packaging and check • After unpacking, make sure that the washing machine is undamaged. If in doubt, do not use the washing machine. Contact After-Sales Service or your local retailer. • Keep the packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene parts, etc. ) out of reach of children, as they are potentially dangerous. 6. Electrical connections • Electrical connections must be carried out by a qualified technician in compliance with the manufacturer’s instructions and current standard safety regulations. [. . . ] If the programme or options are changed after selecting the “Start delay” the programme starts if the desired time is reached. With liquid detergent, a dosing aid placed directly in the drum should be used if a start delay has been selected. Door lock The door locks automatically after the programme start until the end of the programme. If the programme selector is moved to the “Stop” position or if the electricity supply is interrupted, then after approximately one minute the door is released. In this case do not open the door, because hot water could be released from the appliance. Programme end The programme selector knob is at the stop position. 2. Cancel the special options by pressing the appropriate buttons. 4. Wait for the door to unlock (about one minute). Do not fully close the door but leave it ajar to allow the drum to dry out. Changing programme 1. Press the “On/Off” button. For this programme do not add any further detergent. Changing options The options can be selected or deselected without switching off the appliance. Programme interruption or pause To interrupt the running programme for a certain period and continue it at a later time: 1. Press the “On/Off” button. 2. Following the desired pause press the “On/Off” button once again. Cancelling the programme If the current programme is to be terminated prematurely and cancelled, the water must be pumped out first before the door can be opened: 1. Press the “On/Off” button to switch off the appliance. 2. Set the programme selector to programme setting “Drain”. 3. Press the “On/Off” button in order to start the “Drain” programme. 26 REMOVING THE FILTER 1. Remove the coloured insert from the detergent dispenser and use it to open the filter cover. Turn the filter slowly anti-clockwise until the grip is vertical; do not extract filter as yet. Wait until all the water has drained out. Now unscrew the filter completely and extract it. Remove any foreign material from the filter. Make sure the pump impeller is not obstructed. Insert the filter and screw it fully down in a clockwise direction (until the grip is horizontal). 11. Pour 0. 5 l of water into the detergent dispenser to reactivate the “Eco System”. 12. Connect the appliance to the electrical socket. Check the filter two or three times a year and clean it if necessary. • Check the filter if the appliance is not draining properly or if it fails to perform spin cycles. [. . . ] Do not cut the hose and do not immerse the plastic enclosure in water. B 33 Connect the water drain hose The draining varies according to model: External drain hose 1a. Unhook the drain hose from the left clip. Attention: do not unhook the right drain hose connection. Internal drain hose 1b. Pull the hose completely out of the holder.
