Keep this handbook for future consultation. After unpacking the appliance, make sure that the doors shut properly. Any damage must be reported to your retailer within 24 hours after delivery of the appliance. Remove the drain plug (if present), place a container (or the lower basket, if present) under the drain to collect the defrost water, as shown in the figure. Note: Do not use sharp or pointed instruments to scrape off ice; do not heat the freezer compartment artificially. Any damage to the appliance resulting from failure to observe these instructions is not covered by the guarantee. Clean the freezer compartment using a sponge moistened with a solution of warm water and neutral detergent. Refit the drain in place and reposition the baskets. Press the freeze button (4) and leave the yellow LED switched on for about 3 hours before replacing the food in the freezer compartment. If there is no freeze button (4), keep the thermostat knob (5) turned to position 3 for about 4 hours before replacing the food in the freezer. Then return the thermostat knob to the normal position.
