Crispers sliding on rails (depending on the model) 4. [. . . ] In this case food must be stored in line with the basket below. Note: • If there is a power failure, the freezer compartment maintains the correct storage temperature for 16 hours approx. • In models provided with one or two eutectics (cold packs) this time can reach about 25/30 hours. • Do not open the freezer compartment door during a power failure. ቤ Information on frozen food When buying frozen food, make sure that: 1. The wrapper or package is intact as the food may deteriorate. If it bulges, sags or has spots of moisture on it, it may not have been kept cold enough and the contents may have lost their original quality. Use thermal bags or cold boxes for transport. Frozen food should always be purchased last. When at home, store it in the freezer immediately. Important • Any food, even if partially thawed, cannot be refrozen but must be eaten within 24 hours. • Any appreciable rise in temperature of frozen foods may shorten the storage life indicated on the package. • Always follow instructions on the package to store frozen food. Production of ice cubes Fill the ice cube trays 3/4 full with water and place them in the freezing compartment or on the tray (if provided). Use the handle of a spoon to detach the trays if they are stuck to the compartment. Do not use sharp or cutting instruments. 17 HOW TO OPERATE THE REFRIGERATOR COMPARTMENT ቢ Press the refrigerator compartment button (1) • The inside light switches on when the door is opened. • An acoustic alarm sounds when the door has been left open for more than 1 minute. It will switch off when the door is closed. • The green pilot lamp (2) switches on indicating the operation of the refrigerator compartment flashing until the temperature set is reached, when it remains on steadily. Attention: • There is no need to set the refrigerator compartment temperature with the thermostat knob (3) as it is preset in the factory (+5 display 3a) to provide the correct storage temperature for the right amount of fresh food. • After being switched on the refrigerator compartment needs approx. 30 minutes to reach the correct storage temperature with a normal load. Should you need to adjust the internal temperature: 1. [. . . ] • Make sure that the appliance is well levelled. • Leave at least a 50 mm gap above the appliance. • Some models have lateral protruding sides which allow the direct positioning of the appliance against the rear wall. Otherwhise fit the spacers (if provided) at the rear of the appliance, on top of the condenser. [. . . ]
