If the water hardness level does not correspond to position 2 on the selector (setting on delivery) or if the water hardness level changes, set the correct water hardness level on the salt container cap or (according to the model) using system 2, 3 or 4. Press and hold the programme select button and the On/Off button (the salt level indicator lamp will flash and the indicator lamp e will light up). To change the set value: press and hold the programme select button until the required value is reached. As soon as the required water hardness level is reached, press the On/Off button. Press and hold the Start button and simultaneously turn the programme dial one position to the left. Release the Start button (the salt level indicator will flash and the setting value 2 will be displayed). To change the set value: press the Start button until the required value is reached. When the required water hardness level is reached and the indicator lamps light up, as shown in the table, turn the programme dial to the “Off” position. Press and hold the “ECO” button and simultaneously set the mains switch to “On”. Release the “ECO” button (the indicator will flash and the setting value 4 will be displayed). To change the set value: press the “ECO” button again until the required value is reached. When the required water hardness level is reached and the indicator lamps light up, as shown in the table, set the On/Off button in the “Off” position. The new setting is now stored in the memory.
