Installation can be carried out on different materials such as masonry, metal, solid wood and plastic laminated wood provided it is heat resistant (T 90°C). Due to the high power of the burners and the built in professional quality structure, we discourage the use of cookware with a diameter greater than the value indicated in this instruction manual; this will help to prevent the worktop from overheating and the steel from changing colour. Create an opening in the work surface of the dimensions shown in figure 1; for correct installation of the hob, the worktop must also be milled out to a depth of 2 mm. Fig. 1 Before inserting the hob, position the adhesive gasket supplied around the entire section of the underside which will come into contact with the worktop (fig. Carry out the following operations: • Place the hob on top of the milled surface and, using the screws and fixing brackets supplied, secure the hob to the support structure, ensuring it is perfectly level. • Carefully trim any excess from the edge of the gasket. For installation in wooden worktops (especially chipboard), if there Fig. 2 is even the slightest gap between the milled surface and the edge of the installed hob, finish off by filling with a small amount of silicone. The lower part of the protective cover must be fully accessible when the appliance is installed. Important: • tighten the hob fixing brackets to the kitchen worktop by hand, using minimum force. • If the cabinet worktop is in wood or similar, protect the edge of the milling with a primer before closing with the sealing strip. 7 To secure the hob, use the brackets provided: LONG (A) for kitchen worktops with a depth between 20 mm - 30 mm SHORT (B) for kitchen worktops with a depth between 35 mm 60 mm Fit the brackets into the relevant bores on the bottom of the hob and fasten using the screws supplied (C) as shown in the following diagrams. A B C Important: the power supply cable must be long enough to allow the hob to be lifted upwards for removal from the worktop. 8 Adjustment to different types of gas WARNING This operation must be performed by a qualified technician. If the appliance is intended to operate with a different gas from the gas type stated on the rating plate and on the sticker affixed to the top of the hob, the injectors must be changed. Remove the information label and keep it with the instructions booklet. Use pressure regulators suitable for the gas pressure indicated in the Instruction. • The gas nozzles must be changed by After-sales Service or a qualified technician. • Nozzles not supplied with the appliance must be ordered from After-sales Service. • Adjust the minimum setting of the taps.
