Regulating the temperature inside the freezer
The appliance is normally factory set to operate at a recommended temperature of -18°C.  [. . . ] Turn thermostat knob A to the q position to switch off the freezer (the appliance,  however,  remains connected to the power supply).

The acoustic alarm and red light C are activated. 

Cause
Internal temperature is higher than -12°C. 

Solution
Press button E until the temperature falls back below -12°C.
