All interventions made by a non-qualified person can be dangerous, in this case guarantee conditions would cancel. Before the first use Remove the appliance and all accessories from the packaging. Clean the plate the lid and the base in warm, soapy water before use. Set the plate (1) on the base (6) according to the side you wish to use. â· Plug the power cord onto the cord receptacle (2). When cooking is finished, set the thermostat on "0", unplug from the mains, disconnect from the appliance. TO PREVENT ANY SMOKE AND SMELTS To reduce any inconvenient smoke during cooking, pour one or two centimetres of fresh water into the tank of the base. During cooking, juice and fat drip from the heating plate to the water. This allows smoke reduction and helps for an easy cleaning. USE OF THE LID Any preparation can be cooked with or without lid. Food will cook faster with the lid, so that it needs a close supervision. Using the lid is recommended for : - cooking any splashing food (meat, fish, sausage. ) - cooking cubes of vegetables or fruits : slow cooking with thermostat on the lowest position - cooking faster until centre of food : thermostat on mid position, food will cook faster and result will be less crunchy. Be careful not to touch the prongs in the cord receptacle when removing the plate from the base. If the appliance seems not to heat enough during cooking, check the connection between power cord and cord receptacle, pushing the cord into the slot. Carefully remove any grease using a smooth absorbent cloth. â· Do not clean any part of the unit with abrasive cleaners e. [. . . ] â· Marinades with oil may produce some smokes. We advise to set the thermostat on the maxi position, and reduce only if food is overheating or burning. Instructions on environment protection Do not dispose of this product in the usual household garbage at the end of its life cycle ; hand it over a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic appliances.
