· Extra long RF range of 60 meters approximately. [. . . ] No installation is required as the units simply plug into any AC outlet. POWERMIDTM works with any infrared controller including fast format code. The complete POWERMIDTM system consists of a transmitter unit and a receiver unit . The POWERMIDTM transmitter and receiver are each equiped with a captive lead and plug for connection to a mains outlet. The receiver should ideally be positioned so that the face of the unit with the logo on is facing the infrared detector in the TV/VCR, etc. , to be operated. In many cases, however, satisfactory operation will be obtained by placing the unit on top of the TV. The POWERMIDTM transmitter receives infrared pulses from remote control units and re-transmits them as RF pulses at 433. 92 Mhz. These transmissions are detected by the POWERMIDTM receiver which converts them back into infrared signals and sends them to the audio and video equipment. [. . . ] Simply plug-in and it works !
