See page 25 for more details. 48 VX-7R OPERATING MANUAL MEMORY MODE REGULAR MEMORY CHANNEL OPERATION Memory Offset Tuning Once you have recalled a particular memory channel, you may easily tune off that channel, as though you were in the "VFO" mode. With the VX-7R in the "MR" (Memory Recall) mode, select the desired memory channel. The "MR indicator will be reMR" 2. Now press and hold in the placed by one which says "MT ("Memory Tuning"). If you want to replace the original memory contents with those of the new frequency, be sure to rotate the DIAL to the original memory channel number!Any required CTCSS/DCS changes, or repeater offset modifications, must be done before storing the data into the new (or original) memory channel location. VX-7R OPERATING MANUAL 49 MEMORY MODE REGULAR MEMORY CHANNEL OPERATION Masking Memories There may be situations where you want to "Mask" memories so they are not visible during memory selection or scanning. For example, several memories used only in a city you visit infrequently may be stored, then "Masked" until you visit that city, at which time you can "Unmask" them for normal use. Press and hold in the key for 1/2 second, then rotate the DIAL to select the memory channel to be "Masked" from view. The display will revert to memory channel #1. Press the DIAL to the location you just "Masked, " you will observe that it is now invisible. To Unmask the hidden memory, repeat the above procedure: press and hold in the key for 1/2 second, rotate the DIAL to select the masked memory's umber, then press to restore the memory channel's data.
