Ventilation ­ The unit should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, the unit should not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface, that may block the ventilation openings; or placed in a built-in installation, such as a bookcase or cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the ventilation openings. Press this switch to turn the power on and off. When the power is on, the indicator will be illuminated. and Canada models> While the power is on, pressing the POWER key on the remote control switches the unit to the standby mode. PHONES 7 SUBSONIC FILTER switch 8 BALANCE control Used to eliminate undesirable ultra-low-frequency signals caused by turntable rumble or warped records without losing sound quality. Adjusts the balance of the output volume to the left and right speakers to compensate for channel imbalance caused by speaker location or listening room conditions. Used to boost high and low-frequency ranges at low volume. (Refer to page 18. ) 9 Continuously variable LOUDNESS control 0 REC OUT selector 3 PHONES jack This switch can be used to select a source and send its signal directly to the REC OUT terminals on the rear panel, independently of the setting of the INPUT selector. This function allows you to record the selected source while listening to another source. Selects an input source to listen to.
