[. . . ] q Volume Control The RHYTHM, BASS, CHORD 1, and CHORD 2 volume controls can be used to adjust the volume of the corresponding accompaniment parts when playng back data that was recorded with ABC. When playing back data that was recorded without ABC, however, these volume controls have the following track assignments. NOTES · The chord sequence data will replace any previous ABC data. · Up to 200 measures can be recorded using the Chord Sequence function. You can move one beat backward by pressing the [?] key (F#6). Continue entering chords in this manner until your sequence is complete. NOTES Beat Measure number · The number of the measure to be entered is shown on the TEMPO display, while the beat to be entered is shown on the BEAT display. · If no chords are entered, the result will be a rhythm-only sequence. Use the [POP 1/POP 2] and [SWING/JAZZ BALLAD] style selectors while holding the [MIDI/TRANSPOSE] button. The [POP 1/POP 2] style selector increments the utility function number each time it is pressed, and the [SWING/ JAZZ BALLAD] button decrements the utility function number. The Utility Mode functions are indicated on the TEMPO display by a tall "U" in the leftmost digit position. The number of the function is displayed by the center digit ("1" or "2"), and the current setting is shown by the right digit. The [MIDI/TRANSPOSE] button must be held until after you've set the function, below. MIDI/ TRANSPOSE TEMPO Use the TEMPO [v] and [w] buttons while still holding the [MIDI/TRANSPOSE] button to select the required setting (the available settings for each utility function are listed below). NOTES · The MEDIUM setting (2) is automatically selected whenever the POWER switch is turned on. This function can be used to assign these volume controls to other operations. 1: Volume for the Rhythm, Chord 1, Chord 2, and Bass tracks. This applies when playing with the ABC mode engaged or when playing back performance memory data that was recorded with ABC. When playing back performance memory data that was recorded without ABC, the Chord 2 control corresponds to tracks 1 and 2, the Chord 1 and Bass controls are not assigned. 2: Reverb depth for the Rhythm, Chord 1, Chord 2, and Bass tracks. This applies when playing with the ABC mode engaged or when playing back performance memory data that was recorded with ABC. When playing back performance memory data that was recorded without ABC, the Chord 2 control corresponds to tracks 1 and 2, the Chord 1 and Bass controls are not assigned. NOTES · The Rhythm, Chord 1, Chord 2, and Bass volume setting (1) is automatically selected whenever the POWER switch is turned on. · 1 can be recorded and their initial values can be changed as described on page 26.
