Slightly tilt up the engine until the tiltsupport bar automatically returns to the free position. N cC 701015 UP DN UP DN Do not tilt up the outboard motor so that the cooling water inlet of the lower unit is above the surface of the water when setting for and cruising in shallow water. Install the outboard motor on the water tank. Fill the tank with fresh water to above the level of the anti-cavitation plate. Run the engine at a fast idle for 10~15 minutes. Just prior to turning off the engine, quickly spray "Yamaha Stor-Rite Engine Fogging Oil" (Part No. LUBSTRRT-12-00) into the silencer cover. When properly done, the engine will smoke excessively and almost stall. 4-6 E 6) Remove the motor from the water tank. Spray a Yamaha "Stor-Rite Engine Fogging Oil" into each cylinder for 10 seconds. Grease the spark plug threads and reinstall the spark plug(s) and torque to proper specification.
