Open the USB terminal cover on the recorder, use the USB terminal slide switch to extend the USB terminal, then insert the extended USB terminal in the correct orientation into a USB connector on your computer. Failing to do so risks freezing the computer and corrupting or losing the data. If the computer or the unit freezes, restart the application software or Windows OS, or turn the power to the unit off then on again. CAUTION · Before connecting the USB terminal to the computer, exit from any power-saving mode of the computer (such as suspended, sleep, standby). · Execute the following before turning the power to the unit on/off or plugging/unplugging the USB terminal. [. . . ] Connect the unit to your computer. · Be sure to insert and recharge the eneloop. Do not attempt to recharge alkaline batteries.
